!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! by Aloha Milkyway got me thinking- is there a market for adult-size Power Wheels?
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I know what you're thinking- just buy a car, you idiot. Well cars are fun and all, but they aren't Power Wheels fun (unless you're Travis Pastrana and have Redbull paying for your cars). I think we (meaning I run shit and you guys do the funding and engineering. I'll help, and we'll be millionaires. I will use the money to start a Jalopnik Spec Volvo 240 racing series) should build and market a plastic electric cars and trikes that we can use, race, jump and do all the things we never thought of doing as kids before outgrowing ours.
Some people already race stock and modified Power Wheels, but they don't really fit in them.
As this fine Military man shows, guys like Power Wheels. But as you can see, his legs don't fit and there's no room for his girl. Everyone knows Power Wheels are the best way to find dates. You can drive a BMW or Audi, but hose blend in with the crowd and make you look like a asshole. If a girl sees you rollin' in a Power Wheels, she'll be all up in dat. And that's the problem- regular Power Wheels do not accommodate one grown adult, let alone two grown adults.
Power Wheels are brand-neutral as well, so whether you like imports or domestics, they have something for you. All are licensed products as well, so you know you're getting a Real Barbie Jeep with permission from both Barbie (or whoever makes Barbies) and Chrysler.
If we could do this, I'd make the cars just as simple as the normal kids versions, albeit with a little more power. That means plastic wheels and not much in the way of suspension. It would also have to be upgradeable, meaning you can get better batteries and motors. But the basic idea is full size Power Wheels for people like us to bash around in like idiots.
So, would you buy one of these?

If those didn't cost $15,000, have powerful gas motors and long travel suspensions I'd agree with you.

Closest thing I can think of is go carts. I had the exact yerf dog go cart pictured below. It had zero suspension and a 4 HP Briggs and Straton lawn-mower engine attached to the drivers side wheel via a chain. Man was this thing a blast. I especially liked taking it out after it rained because 1) you could drift it and 2) you didn't eat through the drive tire as fast as dry conditions. I still remember the first time I flipped the thing going 25 MPH. Still probably one of the scarier moments of my life.
